Happy Birthday Shruthi (Samatha)

Sirca March 2001...

A prince of Jaagarlamudi, in a wedding reception saw a beautiful princess from the neighboring state.  It was more than the love at first sight. He was deeply impressed by the charming princess, and always the prince goes by the basic instinct [(:-)]..with out any doubt he raised the Red Rose Flag..our cute princess also didn't think twice..cooly she too raised the Red Rose Flag. 

JM..ordered "you people are coming with me, sriki you need to take care of my belongings..loki..you have to be with me all the time. 

So we received the order in original..and started the journey to Narasaraopet in Andrapradesh.

JM, the most ever positive minded personality I came across.. you give any situation..he will say..don't worry buddy..you will sail through..and along with that comes a small tit bit how to evade & sail on the waves of uncertainty.  He should be called GEM not JM.

At around 8.00AM, train stopped, and the King & Queen of Narasaraopet and their relatives were there to receive us.  Straight away rushed to a guest house, where we were given an opportunity to dust ourselves, and a Tanga - Typical Basanti Ki Gaadi straight from Sholay arrived on the scene.  We were happy to be riding on a Tanga.  A nice feel.

After a mandatory asking for well being, our Prince was decked in new clothes, glittering garland, he was looking like a Emperor.  He was smiling all the way..suddenly a lightening struck the mantap.  The mantap was full of bright light, totally we were blinded by the glow...

Was wondering what happened there..... with a beautiful cat walk, our cute sister Princess of narasaraopet arrived with the relatives, friends, and well wishers.  Really the picture perfect for any heroin entry in the movie, and our Prince was also cute more than any heroin around.

Prince was very cute, and we were fortunate enough to have a sister of that cuteness..

Slowly but surely our prince regained consciouness, and just winked at the prince...princess too winked back, and gave a heart stopping smile.  Loki some how managed our Prince from falling down :-)

It was a grand engagement..where prince and princess exchanged the vows, rings, garlands, and the most important the HEART!!!

The food was nice, some how we managed to spend the time till the night.  Dinner was ready, the kingdom of Narasaraopet was brimming with joy, and with great respect, invited us for the dinner.  

The food items were chasing one another in the taste, and final item came in.  I rubbed my eyes, couldn't see, again i rubbed my eyes..I felt, am dreaming..the guy who never dreamt of going abroad, how he can see Antartica...no no...

Loki said.."maga...this is not Antartica, this is curd's in a bucket..just check it out"..
Maaaan..I was totally speechless what a curd's it was...Superb...With big curd rice in the stomach..we happily slept..except Prince, and princes..(obviously)..

Next day, we headed towards a temple on the hillock, where it was a customary in Narasaraopet to visit that place, and we were happy folks..myself, and loki left behind the Prince and the Princes to give the time for themselves..:-)

Coming back, on the way went to their ancestors, and as usual our marketing geek Loki inquired about the Red chilly, the rate, the quality, and a virutal contract to buy and sell the Red chilli in parts of Karnataka. It was a hot summer, they gave us chilled seven up's, coke and all to quench the thirsty. 

Train started crying.."Hey Prince, it is time to get back to Bangalore, if you want to stay, please let me know"
for me and loki there is no job apart from taking care of the prince, so with heavy heart, we pulled him to the train..and there by landed in Bangalore safely.

This fairy tale is not from any movie or any fantasy..it is the engagement scene from the diaries of JM and Samatha.  Today my cute sister Samata's birthday..and what else can be a gift, narrating the story of seeing my cute sister for the first time, that too in my best friend's engagement.
